Been moving more of my withdrawals to Open Banking and PayPal lately and wanted to compare notes.
Open Banking (the pay-by-bank thing) has been the quickest cashout method I've used on UKGC sites, genuinely under an hour a couple of times. No card details, no e-wallet middleman, straight to the bank.
PayPal's been solid too where it's offered, usually same day, but fewer UK sites support it for withdrawal than you'd think and some only let you cash out to PayPal if you deposited with it.
What's your experience? Is Open Banking as fast for everyone or did I just get lucky? And has anyone hit the PayPal deposit-method-lock and had to use something else to take winnings out? Trying to work out if it's worth making these my defaults.

Open Banking has been the standout for me too. The reason it's fast is there's no card scheme or wallet sitting in the middle, it's a direct bank push, so once the casino approves you're basically done.
PayPal I've found a bit hit and miss on availability. And yes, the deposit-method lock is real, AML rules mean a lot of sites will only return funds to the source you paid in with. So if you deposit by card you often can't suddenly withdraw to PayPal.

i only play weekends so not loads of cashouts but open banking landed mine saturday afternoon which never used to happen with card. dead impressed honestly.
paypal i've never been offered for withdrawal on the sites i use, only deposit. maybe it's a per site thing.

open banking's the business. tried it last month, money in before i'd even closed the tab near enough.
not bothered with paypal, extra hoop for no reason when the bank one's quicker anyway. each to their own though.
